Why do I like game devs like him and kojima who sort of have been forced into the business and don't care that much about games? It's clear this guy just wants to hang in soaplands.

It wasn't long ago I remember he used to work at Team Ninja, and as far as I'm concerned he should still be there.

He made one (1) good game like 20 years ago and is now basically the most washed up loser in the history of video games

Itagaki was developing DoA and his major competitor at the time was Tekken, he personally knew Harada and would poke fun at him due to their rivalry. Harada was seething and took this personally and recently made a stink about it publicly which actually made Itagaki even more likeable.

Believe whatever you want, but it really fits, it is an interesting read.

I know we will eventually see a new game from him because it's always a good marketing strategy to bring backk some veteran and pretend he's the one calling the shots (like Nintendo has been doing with Miyamoto since Mario 64).

Devil's Third really just showed people why most pure action games aren't fun anymore. Probably would be a cult classic if it was released in the early 00's, but since it was on the Wii U and it ran like shit, people act like it's the worst game ever made. It's mid as fuck, but it's not terrible.

Played it on emulator recently and its a solid 7.5/10. I think the game was panned mainly due to a paid hate campaign by KT and also because it featured an unapologetic straight white male protagonist in a time when the industry was becoming "progressive" around 2015, also due to being exclusive Wii U title meant few people actually got to play it because the console wasn't popular and people simply believed the reviewers who took a dump on it without actually trying it out for themselves.
