The first time I tried him I beat him with randoms, but I've been trying to do it again as recluse for the remembrance and I think only even got to him once in like 5 attempts. If you are trying to just down the goat, dont take a deal, keeps things even.

The knight is really good at turning on a dime, so try not to let your stam get to zero, so you can dodge. Items help here.

Also big boi himself, you just need to get good. But keep in mind, he tends to focus whom ever is attacking a lot. I'm not talking damage, im talking about each attack. Also note, you don't have to hit him to trigger aggro, you can get aggro by trying to get someone up.

As for a bonus tip, always try to have a weapon with the boss' weakness. I cannot stress this enough.

Managed to beat him with all characters with only randos several time. Granted some times i was hard carried by teammates but it’s possible. You need high dps for the fight not to last too long once it gets to phase 2. Dont bother with the bleed and other ailments, he barely cares. Everyone needs to have holy damage. And that means everyone. If you have a recluse or revenant in your group take the time to farm seals until they do. The elden star spell is ridiculously op against him but the droprate is pretty rare. A good guardian or executor can help if he manages to keep the aggro, but their dps will be shit so the rest of the team better come in heavy. Use any buff you can to make yourself stronger, or the broken crimson tear flask that turns damages into heal when he slices the sky open just so you can walk to him and hit him with everything you got during the long time he’s on the floor.

I am really trying to love her but shes made of fucking paper, which wouldn't be so bad in solo, but in multiplayer, bosses sometimes just swap agro on a dime and shred me in a hit, 2 if I'm lucky.

Just because the enemy is busy with your teammates never relax and think you're safe. Only spam and use long casttime spells if you have a decent distance to the boss (that includes gap-closes).
All the night bosses are designed against 3 people so they all have AOE attacks, play against them like you would play solo (stay defensive, dodge, only punish when safe).
Pick defensive perks from boss loot. Getting all the extra damage is tempting but damage negation, extra HP (and resistance ailments against Maris or Libra) go a long way. Your DPS doesn't matter if you're on the floor.

I love going melee ironeye just for the flex. His dex scaling good anyways. Curved swords and claws work well on him. Getting free extra dodges on a melee character is actually incredibly useful. He's also tankier than duchess, rev, or recluse.

Pretty much all spells were buffed in NR that were garbage in ER so not knowing spells is actually a positive since you won't pass on something good because of your pre-concieved notions. Almost everything is good, even if situationally.
The best stuff though that's almost always good that you should look out for are (from the top of my head):
Glintstone Pebble (low FP cost, still good damage on upgraded staffs)
Glintstone Comet and Glintstone Cometshard (basically just Glintstone Pebble on steroids)
Rancorcall
Stars of Ruin/Star Shower
Shattering Crystal (basically magic shotgun)
Collapsing Stars

Also Recluse has S in Faith so can use seals as well, for that Lightning Spear (the old reliable) and Black Flame (applies DOT based on max HP, great against bosses) are the go-to

Yea i figured the Glinstone stuff seems solid, Stars of Ruin is a great secondary for Duchess, with Restage it melts boss HP as fast as my FP bar, Shattering crystal does good damage but i guess its only good for Recluse with FP restore, on Duch and Rev i usually dont bother with it.
So far it seems the Gravity based spells are all kinda ass. Charged Meteors can dish out some damage if you can pull it off standing under a huge enemy like Ancient Dragon.
Do spells/staffs scale the same way as weapons, as in, is it worth it to go out of your way to get a +2 stone?

Ranged falloff isn't the same as ER. Jar Cannon has a fraction of the range of greatbows, and even when you're in range (Augur usually isn't), a white greatbow does around half the damage with more than double the firing rate.

Shattering Crystal's actually more FP efficient than Pebble if you're hitting the full shotgun every time, the catch is that's hard to do consistently unless you're fighting an immobile fat fuck.
With Recluse my play is to run to a map fort first, they guarantee staves with Pebble that have better stats than the starting one so you know for a fact you'll have a good reliable spell. I've had rotten luck with Rise staves always having shit like Magma Shot and Night spells my last 10+ runs.
also for incants, Discus and Elden Stars are both great

Gravity Well, I think it's called that, is pretty decent imo. The one that shoots the small orb. Has longer casting animation, but does decent damage, not too draining on FP and as a small bonus briefly staggers knight enemies and shit like that (if they don't get oneshot).
I've also had meteor spell on one of my runs, but I didn't know you can charge it at the time, so I can't tell how truly effective it is.

The best spell for Revives is Cannon of Haima. It will revive a 3 bar in 2 shots. I've had really good luck with pretty much any wylder/ironeye group. Vs a lot of field bosses with quick ult charging relics you can just run around blowing bosses up to farm pretty quick. Only downside is Ironeye sometimes attracts retards, but I usually double queue with this combo so it's pretty easy mode.

I have 25 guardian runs and he is objectively the worst character in the game.
First of all he does no damage, at all. He, at max level, gets 39 strength 29 dex.
Keep in mind this is MAX. level. Normally he would end a run at about 34 strength 25 dex

He is one of the characters that are absolutely bricked behind relic passives being fucking MANDATORY.
Everyone is basically an S, with maybe revenant being A+, but a god rolled revenant is easily S+.
Guard counters are basically dog shit and very rng versus nightlord bosses who constantly move around.
This character needed the hp regen during ult, damage reflect on block AND the fucking better whirlwind to even remotely be excusable in his current state. The amount of fucking shit this faggot bird needs on relics to feel 'Ok' is astoundingly laughable. I had evergaol key buff and did FIVE FUCKING EVERGAOLS with a 3 weapon same type buff going and I was doing 200 a hit with a purple halberd LOL! and this is the goddest of runs EVER for his damage. I also had 18% physical damage going.
The "equip two armaments does 10% more damage" does NOT work with sword and board, so his item passives also suck dick for doing any dps.
Raider ends the game with 60 less hp and does 100x the dps and stance damage as "XD!!!!! UR SPOSED TAH GUARD COWNTER!!!" the character.
What the fuck did they mean by this character, if every1 else is S tier, guardian is a fucking C-.

I don't think they make enough of a difference to care most of the time. Over 100 hours and my best relics are still either 2 slot, or 1-2 good effects on a 3 slot.
That said, I still don't have a single relic with Endure.
