I really like the design of the razer basilisk line, but don't like the $150 price point for them and retarded proprietary wireless charging solutions. Any time I try other brands or cheaper mice they end up breaking in just the same way (double clicks, mousewheel fucking blows, etc).

i have similarly large hands and have preferred palm grip in the past. i must have tried like 7 different mice a few years ago, and i finally ended up getting a razer viper and changing my grip for it. pic related is how i grip it.

i basically lay my hand entirely on top of it and hold on to it with a mix of knuckle, palm and fingers. i also got an adjustable desk and i keep it quite low to make it more ergonomic. it works very well for me personally

I was using the vxe r1 for a few months. Highly recommended for the price if you have small or regular sized hands, but I have basketball player hands so I could only use fingertip grip which makes me cramp up.
Ended up upgrading to the ec1-dw because it's the biggest normal wireless mouse out and it's still barely big enough. I like how lightweight it is for the size though. Never owned a zowie mouse before, I hope their shit doesn't break as fast as Logitech.

It's not about strength, it's about the fact that the more the mouse weighs the more momentum it has during travel which means it takes more time to stop. My op1 8k mousewheel stopped working properly within 3 months and it was a nightmare to get it rma'd since it was out of stock. Their main marketting argument was that you could easily replace switches without soldering (which is true) but boy did I find it "funny" that the mousewheel was the thing that broke.
The 8k is also a meme because many games do not support it and it will end up causing micro stutters/input lag and you'll have to lower the rate on their software which was good (by that I mean bloatless) I'll give you that.
End of the day it's an overpriced chinkshit pretending to be "German tier quality" like most meme brands that came out lately.

I have an Akko 3098B, and while it's okay it suffers from double/missed inputs every 1-3 months.

Don't buy this piece of shit or any of these trackballs unless you have a medical condition that prevents you from moving mice, or you have totally unconventional computer setups.
I bought pic related because I use the keyboard a lot, and removing the extra space for the mouse had the potential to make my experience more comfortable, but it didn't help at all, and the trackball doesn't even come close to matching a mouse in terms of precision for normal use. In the end, I solved the problem just by adjusting the relative position of the monitors, keyboard, and mouse on my desk.

I refuse to get rid of my logitech m570 ball mouse even if it has issues like double clicking and the power flickering every now and then

Last couple mice have been Logitech G502. Never ran into the double-click problem that heaps of people report, so I guess I just won the mouse component lottery a couple times.
Want to try picrel style of mouse to see if it's any good for gaming (I don't play sweaty online multiplayer, so my use case is for slower games like XCOM etc.) and if it's more comfortable.
Any anons already given it a go? Any opinions?

Big brands like Logitech definitely fell off with quality over the years but these random brands have just as many or more issues too and they're not always much cheaper anyway.
