Bending PGA pins back is pretty simple. Just don't ever drop a LGA chip on the socket. The socket pins have such tight tolerances its ridiculous to try and realign them.

Totally new IOD structure, new uncore, new core arch, probably a 10 percent IPC uplift, on a newer process variant. Should be breddy fuggin cool
Since Su has been at the helm they've been trying to be aggressive with their release cadence. Zen enterprise and rumored desktop chips are going to be N2. Zen 7 coming late 2027 or early 2028 will be bleeding edge N1.4 from TSMC. Both are now multichannel GAA instead of FinFET. I can't even imagine how efficient these little bastards will be.

10800x3d (or whatever they call it) is going to be a gaming beast I think. It is the clockspeed that has me excited namely because of a number of old games I play which have issues scaling up framerates due to lmao only runs on 2 threads and the like so the only real way is brute force.

The value to me as a customer from AM4 has been insane. Some of the only games that linux can't run at this point are games that require kernel level anticheat. Those only work on w10/11. Outside of productivity and familiarity there's not a lot of reasons to stick to windows.

Consoles having good CPUs is the exception not the rule. The PS5 CPU was mediocre slop from last year the moment it was released and now 5 years later it's even worse.
The PS5 Pro is still just a PS5 except that the GPU is better - which isn't worth much with the CPU being the bottleneck. Definitely the most pointless hardware refresh in ages.

if you think all instances of being a retard are equally likely then it's just as probable you drop the chip into the motherboard's LGA. And considering that you're a giant retard you probably bought a $500 motherboard, and LGA pins are pretty much not fixable.

If some creative devs (probably indie first) make use of the tech it could lead to novel gameplay. Light mirrors gameplay. Better sound tech. Physics interaction. Basically things that wouldn't have been added to games because the performance would've been too awful but now is negligble. But these all require some technical knowledge. At the moment for games graphics not much because the fps tanks too much. For offline rendering and tooling it speeds up that process and if you're an artist using those tools too.

It enables companies to hire the most braindead code monkeys without the slightest artistic ability to slap together a minimum viable product since retarded niggers only see “whoa look at the reflections, take my $80 plus tip right now!”

I'm really curious about what's their plan here, the normal 5500 costs around 500 BRL (about 90 USD) and that's why it sells so well in hueland, if they're really playing to make its MSRP 200 USD it's going to flop catastrophically hard.
