>objectively and unarguably the safest way to travel
>pull the window shade down if you don't like heights
>turbulence is literally no different than driving on an unpaved road.

how is boeing/douglas still able to operate. their jeopardising safety by cutting corners should have meant dissolution ages ago. but the two have now merged, are still unsafe, and still motivated by greed.

this. it's absurd the amount of tiny things that can go wrong, and the consequence is death. fuck that.
give everyone a parachute. have 4 backup pilots incase the boomers at the front both have a heart attack. create a contraption that inflates a huge balloon around the entire fuselage to cushion any potential crash (like an airbag). flood the fuel tanks with fumed silica, carbomers, emulsifiers, inert liquids etc. to make it less volatile if a imminent crash is detected. ban anyone for life if they monkey about with zero tolerance. make runways like 5 miles long and a mile wide so you can't miss them. have weather manipulating mechanisms in place at airports to prevent low visibility.

>people pay top dollar to sit in a metal tube filled with tens of thousands of pounds of fuel thats (((flying))) but a single minute disturbance will (((instantly))) kill them
Guess what, those poor bastards don't instantly die.
You feel every second of the crash, and there is at least 30 seconds of pain that is beyond imagination since you're being crushed and burned at the same time
No fucking thank you, there is nothing worth seeing outside my immediate home and work radius.

20 years ago I would've said this. Now our planes are built by incompetent retards and loaded with software coded by jeets. Our airport infrastructure is third world-tier and hasn't been upgraded in decades. Just look at what they exposed about Newark INTL., NJ. Flying is now more dangerous than it's ever been, all while airline companies continue to remove as much comfort and convenience as possible so they can squeeze a few more assholes on the plane and save a few more shekels per year. Fuck flying.
