What is the point? The accuracy of the mouse comes from the fact that you can use every muscle from your shoulder to your wrist for small and large adjustments, so limiting yourself to just your thumb has a lot of the same problems as thumbsticks.

You don't play 3D player-controlled camera games with dual analog anyway, there's not enough fine/gross camera control for movement, aiming, camera control or interaction specificity.

They can't. There's a patent for back buttons on controllers and I doubt the owner is going to work with Valve after they sued them for the first Steam Controller. (Steam Deck is exempt since that's a handheld and the patent doesn't extend to handhelds.) Valve would have to make the back buttons a seperate accessory which would make people have to buy more things and back buttons as accessories are generally dogshit. Valve is fucked.
