Switching to linux is easy enough. Ditching all of the programs I use for drawing, recording music and editing videos and settling for alternatives would be unbearable. Switching to linux for gaming is basically consolefying your PC, you only play games and only use standard hardware and software.

What do you use? Have you made an effort to actually give the alternatives a try? Unless you're an adobecuck it should be fairly painless.
If you're using CSP you can just run it on wine, and your experience might actually be better if you're using a wacom tablet since the required drivers are included in the linux kernel.

Just run a VM with pci passthrough, it's what I do for CAD and what I used to do for VR before newer headsets made Linux VR much more feasible.

I'm not even sure what this is supposed to mean. Linux has a lot more support for software outside of "industry standard" bullshit, especially things that Microsoft doesn't let you even think about fucking with on Windows (Windows 11 is basically just proprietary GNOME). As for hardware it obviously varies on a case by case basis, such as Windows Mixed Reality only having support on Linux or obsolete Windows versions.

i wish linux cucks would swallow the "commercially viable product" pill and make their os more user-friendly and less obtuse so that it COULD be a true alternative to windows. it need to replicate windows in all the user-friendly ways and drop windows in every other way. thats how it succeeds.
