Eh, it's just another Turtle, honestly. I'm only excited for it since it's fresh. Turtle has been around too long, everyone is already in BIS gear expecting fresh 60s to be in T1 just to do Strat. The server Mafia controlling who raids and who doesn't is also absolutely ridiculous there.
I know it'll happen to Epoch too, but at least I'll have a chance at being one of the founding Mafia members.

They're fairly different at this point. In essence, Epoch is vanilla content running on the WotLK patch for stability's sake but with BC talents for balance and fun's sake. Plus some minor tweaks here and there. Sounds like a decent philosophy, if you ask me.

Turtle on the other hand is trying to evolve vanilla in a direction that their dev team believes was more consistent with Blizzard circa 2004-ish. They've added new races, new dungeons, and heavily tweaked some skills and talents (Lightwell is gone and forgotten, thank fuck). They're currently in the process of making a UE5-based client that can switch between classic graphics and shiny new ones they're making.

Turtle gets some flack for having an overly-sensitive/"woke" mod team, but I've never chafed against that personally. I still play it from time to time and am also interested to check out Epoch when it launches.

Affliction is crazy good in TBC right? I'm kind of upset demonology is still a joke despite the devs trying to redesign the capstone talent to make it more interesting and then just giving up.

For me, the burnout is 40-60. There are never enough quests, so you're forced to repeat dungeons a dozen times.
At least the server will have plenty of new quests.

They made 2h Shaman work on Epoch? I thought they were forcing it down the dual wield route since they're on TBC talents, and I don't see anything that would change that.

I don't care about the fact they made fucking deadmines hard or added Cumsuck the Skeleton as a rare in fucking Silverpine forest or whatever the fuck. Since it's on the WoTLK client, does that mean that shared quest objectives are in? Tried to play Turtle with some friends last year and quest objectives not being shared fucking sucked. Actively made the multiplayer part of the MMO suck balls.

Not sure what expansion it was, pretty sure it was wotlk, they made all quest items from every quest drop for everyone at the same time so you don't have to kill 50 bears to get 10 bear asses each for a party of 5 (assuming every bear has an ass of course).
