>>713355868 (OP)The end of casino palace. Ain't no good damn reason to half 2 hours of cutscenes or 45+ minutes of time waste if you fast-forward like everyone does on a second playthrough
>>713355868 (OP)The AI thinking that we have the memory of a goldfish
Not talking about Persona 5 by the way
>>713355868 (OP)My biggest grudge is how early game personas become useless garbage despite the game technically having all the necessary tools to level them up. i mean yes, you can go into mementos and try to level them up but experience plateau is ruched so fast that any attempt of using level up system as intended feels simply like a waste of resources and daylight. and yes, I know you can merge the personas but getting right ones with the high enough level is a circle of hell on itself. That is a very minor issue with this game, it's fantastic otherwise
>>713355868 (OP)the story it perhaps the most retarded thing atlus has written since it inception
>>713355868 (OP)Honest answer: The way the game handles the plot if you do Futaba's palace early makes absolutely no sense. Apparently she is just asleep for an entire month.
Way too long for what it is (120 hours base game, Royal must be even longer) and really dumb story.
>>713355868 (OP)https://arch.b4k.dev/v/search/text/name%20a%20flaw/filename/Persona5
Character arcs donโt go anywhere. Towards the end you get super tired of every single NPC. Ending was dogshit in the original but I hear they changed it (you know itโs bad when you have to retcon an entire ending)
>>713356879Atlus should've known people would just rush the dungeon for more social times
>>713357989Atlus rehashes virtually everything from 3, even the "nothing happens until the end of the month" bullshit aspect.
The casino twist makes no sense. How did the conspiracy fall for it? At some point someone was sent up to that interrogation room to clean up two dead bodies and found an empty room instead.
>>713357989They should have made it so that once you clear the dungeon you can't actually send the calling card until the day before the deadline, like they make you do with the casino. Just make up some Metaverse reason why it has to be that way.
>>713358416Good point. I really want a return to something like Persona 2. Super heavy narrative, a little side choices for flavor, crushing apocalypse where the whole world turns inside out, cool secret weapons and fusions. I hate that they took random drops out of modern RPGโs so bad, it makes fucking 20 year old games more fun than recent ones.
>>713355868 (OP)too long
>finally get to the final palace, your rival shido who got you into your situation in the first place>to get to him you must go through 5 mini bosses>and also the mini boss with your rival>finally got all that, now just need to face him>except he himself has 5 boss stages, each more difficult than the last>die at the last stage? restart the whole fight>finally beat him>except he's not really the final boss, as momentos still exists>get told to go down there and go through yet another dungeon>finally come up against the actual final boss, a cup>except he doesn't actually die>throws you out of the dungeon where you need to go through another hour of story just to attempt said final boss>except actually one more final mini dungeon>with 3 mini bosses>reach boss room, resources depleted>face the cup>die once or twice, but finally beat it>except the cup isn't the actual final boss, a giant god is>you do not get hp or sp back from beating the cupLike I was done with the game 20 hours ago, the fact the final stretch kept dragging on and on for several hours just burned me the fuck out. Turned the difficulty to easy so I could just sleep through the final boss and finally see the credits
>>713359312Good, I was done with it around the 90th hour mark anyway
>>713358750Not going to happen. Persona 3 is (a sadly crappy) VN first and RPG second, and it was clearly an intentional change. I don't know what made them turn to such rash decision, but it worked out for them financially and now Persona is a well-known series, probably more popular than SMT itself even in Japan and not just globally. There's no going back from such a success, I'm afraid. We aren't even getting random SMT spin-offs these days anymore.
They didn't make my perfect Persona spinoff where it shows how Akechi survived
He touched the Wishing Star with SOMEONE Sumire and created the biggest Showtime possible, flinging himself back four months before, where now he has to figure out WHO he Showtime'd with, HOW to perform the biggest and most bombastic attack, and WHO he's supposed to be attacking (The Archons that control fate of all things outside of reality itself) and to keep his Showtime going he has to do DMC CUHRAAAZY style stuff rushing through the minds of all the corrupt people he used to work with, fighting shadows and mental weapons they designed to safeguard against Persona users (think those MGR dogs but with lots of vaccine needlepoints for hair), in order to rank up time off of fighting to recoup, search for the next enemy to fight and explore Tokyo alone and adapt his Persona, like a solo-form of Confidant Social Link. Persona meets Crank High Voltage meets DMC and the opening is that Counter Strike song where it starts with Akechi dancing around on puppet strings before trying to move himself only for the strings to supersede him and that WELCOME BACK TO YOUR OWN GAME SHOOOOW has him vaulted into the sky as the many days from February to November rush by in that calendar style like sliding japanese doors I swear this would look really cool if I could draw at all.
>>713355868 (OP)peaked at the first palace
>>713365849This. I've tried beating the game twice and just got bored after the 3rd Palace.
>>713365849for me the best one is the casino, but it could also be that you have to suffer the space ship one before
>>713355868 (OP)The main battle themes were insufferable (the boss themes are good though), but at least you can change the music.
>>713365849I think you're confusing the palace with the target.
Kamoshida was the best one because it really built up your hatred for him. They tried with Shido, but he was always too distant for it to really work.
Too long
Dungeons go to shit after the first one
A lot of days are lost because you have to advance the story even if you don't want to
Too easy
Main party is meh writing wise
The story is uninteresting between the third dungeon and the final dungeon
Akechi
>>713358750Persona 2 was absolute dogshit and it wanst a heavy narratove at all. Replay it and youll realize what sort of possibly nostalgia driven nonsense you are spouting
And if you do? Enjoy the tarot stock system, fucker.
>>713370138More Futaba, less coat.
I want to see that skinny hikki body.
>>713355868 (OP)>artificial friendship>we're not shattering the people's psyche to do as we want because we're the good guys and the endings can prove it4th game was basically "accept status quo", 5th game is "instead of fixing the root of the issue we'll just kill god and MAKE you a better member of society"
What I wonder if P6 will go mask off and finally release a cast that are the equivalent of Johnny Silverhand, blatantly spewing the message that the devs want to spread.
>>713356648Didn't royal add some velvet room option to level up a persona for you but it was completely garbage because the investment and time was never worth it?
