This website is now infested with culture warriors who don't play games, and bitter shazamniggers looking for the next TORtanic because they are deeply stuck in their "society has fallen" mindset. Everything is shit, everything must be shit, everything is a culture battleground. They are actively wishing for games to be bad and hypermagnifying everything to start a controversy. Whenever a game succeeds or is inoffensive this is terrible news for these people, a grim reminder for them that society is still continuing and games can still be enjoyed.

It's not that different from how some apocalypse preppers secretly want world war 3 to happen so all the money and time they wasted into preparation doesn't get wasted. They feel deflated and worthless when nothing ever happens, they need their paranoia and dissatisfaction with life to feel justified, and if real life doesn't provide enough justification then their brains will invent it.
