The games I've finished this year are:
Lobotomy Corporation
Library of Ruina
Record of Lodoss War
Ender Magnolia
Devil Survivor 2
Deltarune Chapters 3+4, if you want to count that
Metroid Zero Mission
Mega Man Battle Network
It doesn't really feel right to me to count Deltarune with it being incomplete, so of the rest of them, I'd say Library of Ruina is the best. I do think it feels designed in such a way that you could tell it was in early access and being released piece by piece, because the later parts of the game always feel like they're trying to be some big bombastic thing that would be worthy of a new update, and it gets kind of grating as a result, and it has a few other issues, but in most respects the game was great. I like the world even if it's not really what I envisioned from Lobotomy Corporation, I think the defensive mechanics feel a lot better than defensive mechanics in most turn-based games, I like the build variety, I like the framing of you having this kind of evil lair that you defend from adventurers, it was just good throughout. The worst was Battle Network, but I like the idea of the combat so I hope later entries are an improvement.

I like Metaphor, but I wasn't tired of the Persona formula before playing it and was still put off by how much Metaphor takes from it. I feel like the whole focus on adventure and travel is directly at odds with the calendar system and Social Links, to the point the game has to pull the cop out of letting you teleport, which kills the feeling of being on this journey across the country to me. I wish they felt more free to stray more from Persona. I like Persona a lot, but Metaphor could have been its own thing and it feels too content to be fantasy-Persona, to me.
