Most states let citizens make arrests when they see another person committing or attempting to commit a crime, hence the technical legality of private sting operations, but entrapment is a term specifically used only for law enforcement officers. However, I'm pretty sure goading someone into committing a crime is also a criminal act, so citizens would be found of uh, inducement or something, I dunno I'm just a cunnyphile. Personally, I believe pedophiles should be taught to using healthy outlets of dealing with their sexual fantasies and urges. Most cases of child sexual assault are usually committed by people who have some sort of relationship with the child (i.e. parent, uncle, family friend, coach, etc.) and the type of person who would rape a child would rape an adult, as rapists tend to not be pedophiles in general, just sexual opportunists.
