Fusion, It is pretty fun since you have to strategize a lot more with how limited your options can be, especially with fusion letting you pull off crazy shit like mixing type combos
My favorite mon in regular rando was Gardevoir + aegislash, the sprite is cool, the typing is great and the strat of boosting with calm mind while in shield form, getting regen from leftovers, kingly shield for better protect and draining kiss is really satisfying

Pokemon fighting and using superpowers is pretty cool. But I think the real draw of Pokemon is it's an idealized world of human-animal cooperation. There's all these cool animals and they all wanna be your friend.
