If you’re getting this from that one schizo who keeps ranting about it in these threads, I earnestly tried to engage with him and find out why he was claiming that and he couldn’t tell me. It’s one of the only Christian games and it carries a nostalgic reverence for a better time without needing to pivot into subversion. Until he’s willing to explain why he thinks that, I’d say just ignore. Making a sequel to it is kind of stupid in the first place. I liked it, but not enough for a sequel. The spinoff game though I thought was an interesting idea. Still haven't played it.

I think that project turned a profit though. He was working on it while his hired coders were building the mechanics for dream settler.
Not like it mattered in the end, since he never actually managed to come up with any story or puzzles for dream settler.
In a world without Slayers X it still would have been canceled cause he just had no ideas for a hypnospace sequel besides the gimmicks.

Really seems like he had a core idea for the game (making their own version of Flash) and as soon as it was going to be impossible to complete and needed to be cut, he lost all creativity for realizing the project.

I'm still fuckong thermonuclear about this. Puts it on blast for 3 years as his next big thing, fucks off for two years to do a rather mediocre boomer shooter, then when he finally comes back to his senses and realizes he's gotta do this thing that he set up himself he completely falls apart and "burns out" basically admitting that no fucking work got done in the 5 years or so we know it was in development on. I'm not going to pretend like this wasn't some herculean task but for fuck sakes, the feature creep and overscoping killed this thing graveyard dead because the avant-garde cocksucker couldn't pull his head out his ass for long enough to just chip away at the actual gameplay part and not the little tools and minigames. Fucking disgraceful, but hey at least he can fuck off and make, "software for kids" or whatever the fuck he wants to do.

No, it's a game about human beings, not politics or ideologies. There is zero ideological proselytizing in the game. And the writing is high quality, because it seems like shitposting at first, but then it starts to reveal itself as something full of meaning and emotion. I highly recommend the game, to be played slowly and enjoying the details. Not all the people and pages you encounter are equally interesting, but overall 90% of what you'll read, see, and hear is entertaining.

Usually smaller games used to be left alone on /v/, free from the typical "divide and conquer" attempts you see in all the bigger threads. But I think even smaller games aren't safe anymore. Even on the Hypnospace guy's games there's an autist dedicated to trying to start an ideological war, which is really insane.
