Nah. I'm 31 going on 32 soon, still love games, still excited about new releases. Just beat Deltarune Chapter 3, going to finish Chapter 4 this weekend, then play Death Stranding 2 if it's decent. Also been replaying SMT Nocturne, but with the Maniax DLC since Atlus were fucking idiots and didn't include it automatically, so I wasted 10 hours before realizing.

If you get fatigued, play better games, stop playing slop, or just take a break. It's not the industry or your age, it's just you.

I actually like games better now than I did in my early 20s

Perhaps that's because games are better now, but I also play older games.

Not as good as my childhood of course

Childhood brain chemicals and the fact that EVERYTHING is new can't be beat

No, but responsibilities mean you must earn more by gaming. Maybe grow, or maintain, muscle. Consider wrist weights while playing VR, or a dance pad with DDR, or a stationary exercise bicycle while playing flatscreen games.

It's evitable, but i think that it depends on your life situation. For a person who has a family to take care of, a job that demands a lot of time or effort, or other things that can build a lot of stress, it's hard to avoid feeling too tired to dedicate time and effort to videogames.

33 and growing increasingly hermit in nature about vidya. I'm more interested in niche Steam and itch.io shit these days, but I've been disillusioned with AAA for about 15 years now anyways. I look at the current crop of consoles and can't help but laugh. Fuck, Vita was more interesting.

Burnout is normal for any long time thing
A couple of the signs are:
>trying to make a joke of the thing anytime you can
>being bitter about it, ie., questioning it and your or others time or attention directed towards the thing
>need booze or drugs to enjoy things
take a break and see how you feel in a couple weeks

It is, though. The age at which the depression starts varies based on intelligence. I've been depressed since I was a teenager. For the normalniggers, I would say 30 and after is the normal time. That's why the Wizard meme exists. How old are you?

No, what happens in your 20s is you change from playing shit games that are designed to be addictive first instead of fun, and you either give up gaming or you find stuff that's actually fun that you enjoy.

Personally late 20s was when I stopped playing the edgy "mature games for mature gamers" and addictive gay shit like LoL and started playing JRPGs, action games, indies, AA, etc. I just started fighting games in my late 30s.

Just start playing demos and sailing the seas for new shit you wouldn't think you'd enjoy.

That's only in the Steam version. Nocturne was released in three versions on the PS2.
>Base game (JP only) - basis for Steam version of HD Remaster
>Maniax (Dante) - basis for PS2 NA/EU release, exists as paid DLC for all version
>Chronicle Edition (Raidou replaces Dante, JP only) - basis for console versions of HD Remaster, exists as free DLC for Steam version
The reason Chronicle Edition is free DLC for Steam is that Raidou has sensitive WWII-era imagery for South Koreans, so that part was made optional. The Steam version is still the best version, not just for the options it offers, but for allowing you to actually PLAY the original vanilla game if you want. I don't think it's totally the same though, because I remember that in the original PS2 version, you start with a different hoodie that doesn't appear in Maniax onward, but the HD Remaster uses the Maniax hoodie in all releases. I also have no clue about balance changes.

I'm not a NEET anymore, haven't been for 7 years. But one thing I can tell you is that, if you're like me, and have issues finding satisfaction in both the small and big things in life, you're always going to be miserable. The only difference is what kind of miserable you're going to be. From time to time, when you feel like throwing it all away, try to remember the small conveniences from your day to day to life and keep it together. It's mostly placebo, but it helps me with not kissing the end of a gun barrel

It's actually very difficult to get the most out of your prime years. You could be in some shitty apartment by yourself working in some shitty cubicle job surrounded by HR roasties and lazy girl job bimbo girl bosses who all hate you while you make $40k a year.

Western life is a giant battle you will never win, between having no time and lots of money or lots of time and no money. Being able to balance that is nearly impossible. But vidya has an amazing dollar to entertainment value.

If you don't have rich parents there has to be a sacrifice somewhere along the line. More money and more financial security and assets, but less freedom and memories. Or less money and less financial security, but more memories and events in your life. I chose the latter. I don't regret it one bit even while my peers are ahead of me now in the asset game.

33 and i love games more the older i get. if i had to guess you're probably fatigued because you play only a handful of genres and it has become stale for you as a result. go outside your comfort zone, experiment with other stuff even if you think they're not for you and develop your tastes further and further. never stop wanting to explore new things. you'll play a bunch of stuff that is indeed not for you, but you might also discover something so new and refreshing to your usual style that it rekindles your interest in games as a whole. several of my favourite games are from genres i normally would've considered to be not my thing, but i still decided to give them an honest chance and let them surprise me.

I'm trying to play Trails of Cold Steel 1, but I find it kinda boring and play like 2 hours a week. Should I just give up?

Dark Souls 3. I still need to finish Metaphor's main story, then hopefully I can rush through to 100% the pain in the ass. Fucking christ I play so much shit that has awful grinding for 100%.

I'm 20 years older than you and started posting here 20 years ago. While this place sucks and keeps getting worse every year all the other places suck even more so where are we supposed to go? When 4chan went out it made it obvious how other online communities are even more garbage. The other chans, or kiwifarms where it's full of pathetic schizo stalkers, forget reddit since I refuse to make any account and social medias in general can fuck off. There is only 4chan no matter how shit it is.

Thatโ€™s the copiest cope thatโ€™s ever coped. Youโ€™re just not ready to accept the truth yet. Youโ€™re the problem, not some system.

Not that Anon and I understand him. Today I'm self employed but before that I had to spend a decade in corporate and it was fucking soul crushing to just be a cog in the corporate machine with the paycheck being the only motivation. Now I'm motivated and what I do has meaning (at least for me, which is what matters) but during those corpo days man? How many nights have I spent imagining a Breivik scenario at my corpo HQ.
