Do they expect me to keep swapping the party members every single time? I mean, I would, if the game let me save custom laodouts of both party members and their equipment included. But I'm not going to re-equip them with the drop rate gear manually every single time.

you make overpowered tools that make it so even on shit leveling you oneshot anyhting that isnt a giant resource or legendary resource.
those you two shot.

get two blacksmith buddies and kit them out.
they keep the gear you assing them even if they arent in your party.
then just spam craft profession tools.
start with blacksmithing itself and then craft whatever else you want.
you dont need to get resources for early to mid tier blacksmithing either because it can mostly be bought.

You can load set on them but only set registered to your life related to say gatherer, also I don't think that would help with those events, aside from farmer most gatherers are below average except for that negating hp recovery effect.
