I genuinely wanted to play this a while back, I have it on Steam. So sad that GameSpy closed the servers, and that BFHUB site seems like it'd only have UK/EU servers populated.

Of all the games I played, I have the most memories of this one, even 20 years later. Taking some long trek to point and laying prone in the grass and sniping like 8 guys from 10 meters away who had no idea where I was, lying prone on a hill with no cover and an enemy tank literally rolls right over me without squishing me and keeps going. Gaining altitude and then diving for speed in the transport choppers and pulling a loop and the retards who jump out while we're inverted fall into the rotor blades and die. Most other games are big blurs but not this one.

but there's only so much ddeath from OP vehicles i can stand, and i don't like using them because they feel like cheating, and the infantry combat is complete ass so there was no alternatives for me, shame, real shame.

You had a proper fireteam with a medic, support, engineer, sniper, and assault — an actual little army squad. Now it feels like you’re just in a CoD buddy system. We don't live in 2005 anymore. It's not ''new'' and exciting. There is a reason why vehicle only games don't have infantry options and infantry only games don't have vehicles that can kill them with cannons and miniguns. Even in BF4 people only either play Golmund, Silk Road etc. or they play Metro, Locker after 11 years and there is a good reason for that.
