XVI is dogshit. Yes, I've played it. I even finished it (out of spite because I was in an argument with someone that it got better) and half the players haven't.
Square-Enix can put it on every platform under the sun, it will never succeed because it's a poorly-paced piece of shit. Even the Game of Thrones nods are shallow. Oh, Titan lost his hands? Totally makes up for the lack of true political intrigue because you went back to the same evil progenitor god nonsense.
Triangle Strategy is 200x the game this dross is.

The combat is mindless spam-x-to-awesome and it's piss-easy (yes, even on the higher difficulty).
The story is literal fanfic tier that feels like a Marvel multiverse capeslop movie.
The entire game is littered with fags and minorities and it's woke as shit.
The only good music in the entire game is that which was made for the original FF7 multiple decades ago.
The pacing is awful and you're constantly bombared by dull uninspired minigames to pad the length.
The game somehow looks way way worse than Remake.

I'm glad I didn't pay for Rebirth, but I won't even bother playing FF7R3.

I’ve played every FF game, some of them multiple times, except 13, 15, and 16. Something about them just seems ‘off’ to me. And I’ve consciously avoided them for so long that if I tried to play one of them now, I start getting shivers in my body, anxiety, and feelings of dread, like I’m about to die or I’m being attacked.
