Hyper competitive losers forgot they're playing video games and are supposed to have fun. Doesn't help that many didn't have friends growing up so they don't know how to play with others. Maybe the market got too regulated. Video game competitions in the past were more like the wild west, everybody made their own rules and type of competition, eventually small mafias like the FGC would grown in power and they will kill any real organic development.
