real life became more dystopian.

also industrial music is not cool anymore, despite the fact it's the only genre of music that actually makes sense to make anymore since all modern music is just lgbt industrial pop.

Outside of Cyberpunk 2099 and the like three Shadow Run games, what other cyberpunk games are there? AND are there any turn-based jrpgs in this genre?

I mean i'm in a industrial rock/metal band, so I think i'd know.

Zoomers don't listen to it, there are only 2-3 new bands pushing the scene right now globally.
We just released our first album within the last year.
So the fuck you want to say.

I don't know if it's that simple.
Solarpunk isn't exactly a new genre, it's pretty much just 90's environmentalism with the word "punk" added to it.
The new Gundam show feels weirdly fresh to me, like it's potentially the beginnings of a new genre with its weird style choices.

Essentially, the genre was very short lived among the writers who first coined it. It was rapidly replaced with Post-Cyberpunk, the key difference between the genres being how they pose technology. Cyberpunk typically posits technology as negative in of itself. Post-Cyberpunk posits technology as neutral, and humans are the X factor which make it positive or negative.
What's happened since then is that the genre has fallen victim to Flanderisation/Imitation. Most "Cyberpunk" now just carries the aesthetic without the substance.
Read Gibson, and then read Bruce Sterling. You'll feel the difference better than I could explain it.

I am a big fan of Gundam and I am aware of what GQuuuuuuX is. I think it's a bit more fresh and interesting than you're giving it credit.
Multiverse stuff has been overdone by Marvel, but I think there is something to GQ's focus on psychic characters and psychic phenomenon as justification for its multiverse.
We've had psychics in Gundam since it began, but with its meta commentary/multiverse pretext and the way the show interacts psychically with the audience, it might be worth calling it a new genre
"esper-punk" "mentalpunk" etc.

Yea there is something to the idea that Nyaan Machu, and Chalia are "punks" against every oldtype system they encounter, just by virtue of being psychics.
Even the literal gang of punks aren't punk enough for Machu.
Shuuji is so punk he isn't even obeying the laws of reality, teleports in to paint graffiti and sniff girls, then fucks off to do whatever elder god shit he's on.
Gundam has done a lot of this before, but it feels extra punk with the FLCL director
