The only thing comedic about the game were the unit voice lines which was a completely baffling direction to do since it clashed so hard with how serious the actual game is, from it's opening cinematic and it's art, unit, and world designs. It's like they thought the poke lines in the Blizzard RTSs were so amazing that they decided that that was what people only wanted out of unit voice lines.
