I've been very skeptical about it, clearly, because of its unethical origins, but to deny it will be used and put my head in the sand is retarded. So I've messed around with it out of curiosity, as I'm sure many artists have. I think, that a lot of artists that work in the industry are rightfully excited about what it promises. There's a whole lot of shitty repetitive work that nobody wants to do, AI can help with doing those tasks. For the more fun tasks that people love doing, it's good, but hard to wrangle into what you want, so often times it serves more as a springboard for ideas.
People push back against it, for many valid reasons, as well as many really stupid reasons that aren't really based on anything but their feelings. It will find it's place and artists who use it that are transparent about their use will eventually find their place in the art world as well. Imo, transparency is the most important factor in getting artists to accept it. That and the faggots on both sides that see it as some pointless war. It's not going anywhere.
