So I was told by /v/ this is the greatest TPS ever but so far I'm bored out of my mind. The setting is cool but the characters and writing are retarded.
Is it going to pick up some speed soon gameplay wise or am I wasting my time?

Depends who you ask, I'd say /v/ always shat on moviegames and you fell for the most recent raid and I unistalled both tlous way before the half way point for constantly making me not play the game but I also know people who genuinely seem to like it but they also generally like style over substance popcorn slop.
