On a related note, for those still in the middle of the story or just starting out, put in the damage/HP modifier mods. It drastically boosts the enjoyment of the game It's not like some meme unnecessary difficulty boost. It just makes you actually play the game instead of mindlessly unga bunga-ing. It honestly feels like the higher HP/dmg values boosted in the mod should've been the default in the game.
If nothing else, it lets you hear the critical HP lines of your party members, something that most likely won't happen even with hard mode settings in an unmodified game.

I'm not sure what you did to reach that point. My first time playing the game was the original release where Hard mode was the highest difficulty and somewhere between the third and fourth boss it wasn't uncommon to get stunlocked to death by enemies dealing 10-20% max health per hit. That was where I finally looked into crafting which does trivialize the game when you abuse it.

It could happen too, we're seeing more and more stories slowly open themselves up to the Harem Ending, instead of tying them to the idea that you *had* to choose one girl.

Xenoblade 2 and Isekai stories led the way. Elusive Samurai is a mainstream WSJ story where the MC has three wives. Tying The Knot With An Amagami Sister is basically an upgraded version of Quintessential Quintuplets with him marrying all 3 sisters at the end. The gates are slowly being opened.

My only concern is it'll devolve into shit like 100GF where the MC does little to nothing with the "harem" while the girls all fuck each other.

The combat was far less stiff than its predecessors but with the caveat that they made it exceptionally braindead with you literally not ever running out of RP. No crafts to consume RP. Farming doesn't consume RP. So there's pretty much no resource management at all which makes the braindead gameplay even more braindead. I said that few times in the threads already, got level 7 Earth Spike drop in Obsidian Mansion and used it until Floating Fortress or however was Act 2 final dungeon called. Toasts are giving like 800 RP in RF4? Only thing that really limits you inside dungeons is inventory space, if GoA had smaller inventory and didn't send resources automatically to storage when you run out it would make dungeons feel less short. Unless you are willing to waste them.

In each spinoff RF they take the basic formula but experiment with various systems and GoA experiments more than the other two spinoffs did. Farming can be automated like it was in Tides of Destiny but without the RNG(you can control the automation to an extent) and you can forego that system entirely and do it yourself if you're the type of person who wants to min/max your crop levels.

There's a town building system in place but you don't have to think too hard about it if you don't want to. If you don't care about aesthetics it boils down to placing one of each building/decoration for passive stat boosts with many buildings serving gameplay functionality like passively generating cooking ingredients or providing shops that passively generate income and provide wares for you to purchase.

Combat is by far the most fluid in the series but the game is fairly easy overall so you're never really encouraged to "get good" unless you download a difficulty mod. If you're looking for a challenge from the combat side of things I'd highly recommend it.

NPCs have way, way more interactions compared to 5 and if you include combat interactions I'm pretty sure they have more than 4. It's also far easier to build up relations with everyone without relying on looking up the wiki and checking which items you need to give every day. Time is now a currency that you can spend to improve bonds.

Magic is gone and in its place two of the standard weapons are ranged options(bow and talisman which is the magic weapon instead of staves this time around) with the standard spells being replaced by elemental relics which can be used to perform elemental combo attacks or provide utility effects at the cost of RP while the big "nuke" abilities now draw from a special guage which fills as you attack enemies.

It's very different from the previous games, everything is streamlined and basically just unlocked as part of the main quest, very linear "go here do this NOW" with a big map marker. They never really let you loose to do what you want and grind skills like the other games.
All of the different types of cooking/crafting are basically reduced to you going to a guy in your town and paying him a set price +material to do it. I'm not even sure if there is a point to leveling crafting aside from some crappy minor perks and general combat stat increases. You just get recipes by going to marked frog statues on your map, no experimenting or trying to combine things yourself.
It's basically the crafting system from tales games which nobody even considers a crafting game.

I hundred percented the crafting trees in the previous games and haven't even bothered in this game, just stuck with the starting gear and i'm past all the villages so I assume i'm nearing the end of the main story.
Combat is inconsistent, got my ass kicked in the tutorial dungeon 4 times in a row, and since then i've breezed through everything using almost no potions and no equipment upgrades. The Bow is basically broken and most bosses have a gimmick that trivializes them once you know it.

Then there's the city management aspect which is the only thing that you have to really think about and that's sort of like budget rimworld where you just task everyone, build facilities to produce stuff, manage resources and money etc. I don't have any real issue with it, but it's not what I look for in a Rune Factory game. You don't really even need to interact with farming unless you want to micromanage it or upgrades crops (which is actually a pain in the ass because villagers will get in your way).

Finally finished the game, this is unironically the most woke and pozzed Rune Factory I’ve played to date. Forget about just the fact that the male MC is brown, half the marriage candidates are brown, and the other half are also different races so to encourage race mixing.

They dropped all pretenses of being subtle and just outright made Sechs the direct fantasy equivalent of Nazi Germany, you can only “heal” and “fix” the white woman rather than any of the men which is some BBC rapefugee cuckshit.

Fag marriage is already a given but everything that’s been said about it has already been a beaten dead horse so I won’t harp on it any longer than I have to.

Pilika’s route is literally “race mixing good, mongrels good, homogenous societies bad goyim!” propoganda, and even Cuilang’s arc feels like a tranny allegory somehow… (he wants to become “a real boy”)

I only married Matsuri because literally any other option would be filthy defiling race mixing somehow. I cringed hard that I was forced to play as a shitskin and marry another shitskin but it was either that or play as the femc which is some tranny gay shit so I chose the lesser of two evils.

It's going to happen, but it was being artificially hastened by two groups acting in their own interests. Sechs was looking to take it for themselves and rebuild their empire leaving nothing for Azuma, and your opposite was trying to speed up the decline to force the rebirth sooner and end everybody's current suffering (despite the outcome).
