I don't really think the graph8cs are bad, but I think they're ruining the art style with each Nioh. They still have the same graphics from Nioh 1, so they just keep adding flashier effects and more saturated colors to compensate.

Lets be real, only the passive abilities of Omnyo are good in Nioh 1 & 2. As for the method, it's basically a reworked version of Minamoto no Yorimitsu soul core box. Also, we haven't seen the full potential of the new system. Personally, I thought the omnyo system in Nioh 2 was a downgrade from Nioh 1, so I welcome the change.

It looks WAY worse than Rise of the Ronin, a game a lot of people claimed looks like a PS3 game even though it looks gorgeous with the right settings on PC especially.
So if Nioh 3 is even worse than that, it's a bit of a problem, but the art direction in Nioh is a lot more stronger and isn't going for pure realism, and that saves the game for sure. People who don't know shit about graphics even think it has "good graphics" even if that's wrong and what they actually mean is that it looks good despite the shit graphics, because yes this is a thing.

But yeah I don't give a shit really, I appreciate great graphics when I see them but that's not what makes me play games.
Nioh 3? That's gonna be my first day 1 in years for sure, N2 is one of the best games I've played. Excited for NG4 too.

I thought the same when I first started playing but as you progress and unlock moves exclusive to different styles with certain utility and figure out when to use high stance for Ki damage for certain openings and the fact high stance can hit head shots for Yokai easier, you'll start instinctively wanting to use it. But you can also play the entire game in mid or high stance too.

As someone who loved Nioh and Nioh 2 and played only the demo of Rise of the Ronin the answer is absolutely not. It genuinely feels like the non-Nioh properties were haphazardly created properties and perhaps just testing grounds for Nioh 3.
