In all seriousness I think the development in this game fell into the pitfall every sandbox voxel game falls into: Trying to be the "Everything" game. Extensive mod support built in, tools, multiplayer minigames, all designed to just suckle off of the leaky tit that is Minecraft.

One day, all devs are gonna realize you have to actually make a fucking video game first, and those other things must come naturally with time.

Same thing happened with that Bonelab game. Extensive modding support that kicked release down the road only for the game to flop because the base game was so uninteresting that nobody gave enough of a fuck to mod it. This time, they spent so much time modfagging about UGC tools that the actual fucking game never happened.

Embarrassing ass industry. Can we go back to just making games fun and that was it?
