100% Matchmaking and the sheer ineptitude of the bots.
Enjoyed it in the hopes that I wouldn't eventually get to play the "real" game, but I knew it would never come after I hit rank 50. The match that made me quit was me and a Panda who was clearly new playing Assault against a Discord-organized 4-man premade squad. We managed to hold B1 for a few minutes, and I even got a final funny moment where their Vlad of all people said shotgun slugs needed to be nerfed more, only for their Erwin, who I played against many times and was also in the 50s, to point out that you might as well just delete the Home Defender at that point since literally the only thing it has going for it over any other weapon is that it could kill massive bodies quickly if you had perfect aim and could land a double headshot.
Then I died once from Vlad's ult cannon, and were already at the next stage before I could even run back to to defend it. I had to watch as they literally ran past some bots to start capping the point without even bothering to shoot them, and it was at that was the moment where I knew I was permanently done.
