The first thing I notice in this webm is the blades of grass swaying in the distance, indicating the presence of a spider. Or at least something large.

Spodes are scary without being actually scary. The normie is thus emboldened and feels heroic fighting spiders without any real danger of being spooked or uncomfortable. If they made spider monsters that looked and behaved like picrel everyone would be pissing, shitting and cumming blood on reddit about it. There would probably also be lawsuits.
I feel like there's a more common bug type enemy in games, but now that I think about it I'm not sure what type of bugs are they actually, big beetles maybe? potato beetles? like the most generic type of bug enemy that you can think about, that flies around and snaps at you

I think when you are that small the venom either kills you outright or paralyzes you to the point you are functionally dead anyway. Get nabbed by a mantis and itβll just start munching on you while you flail around helplessly.

what if getting liquidated was like that one comic where the girl is just getting pure dopamine injected into her veins for the rest of her life

My little brother showed me a vid of that happening to a lizard the first time I took shrooms. The lizard was massive in comparison but the mantis just grabbed it and began eating its jaw. Nightmare stuff. Same with grizzlies.

You'd feel nothing. Spider venom has paralytic and anesthetic chemicals. You'd feel intense pain, then go numb while at worst feeling a lot of nausea and fear. That's assuming it doesn't rip your head off.
