Unironically the best part of the game, it's like 100% of their animation budget went into these mid-combat interlude animations while the entire rest of the game looks stiff as a board. The way the transitions happen during the final boss battle is incredibly fun and impressive.

You are, but if you actually engage with his attack pattern he comes out of the sand and is both stronger and way harder to predict, it's easier and faster to just watch his mouth movements and do as in the webm
You can also get a free cutscene attack on him by speed dodging his rocks but only once

This game actually sucks and has the most brain dead boss AI ever to work around the really primitive gameplay. The game is so poorly designed that you can avoid the vast majority of enemy attacks by simply walking in a circle around them. To mitigate this, bosses randomly use AoE attacks. I'm not even joking. This is a total piece of shit game.
