You're allowed to put skeletons in Chinese games, but it automatically puts your game in a seperate category which makes getting approval more complicated. It's not the prescence of skeletons, it's "promoting superstitions" that's illegal, and as soon as you add one to your game you have to go through an assessment to say whether you're just depicting one or 'promoting' some sort of belief about reanimation or what happens to a soul after death or whatever. Game devs don't want to deal with that so just remove them altogether.
