>>713487279It's Bloodborne if it didn't run like shit, had Sekiro parry and was actually a grimdark Pinocchio fanfic.
>>713487279Yes Fable Souls with a Sekiro X Bloodborne style. I'd put it above even a good chunk of the souls games personally. I particularly like how it encourages NG+s as you reveal entirely new tiers of the power system to unlock on NG+ and NG++
>>713477646The clown is there to teach you how to parry, he really isn't hard.

>>713489687No you don't, I got golden lie an I snitched. I also told manus the truth and Alidoro in the DLC that Krat is gonna be fucked and his efforts are pointless. It's only related to humanity, but you need level 8 (900 points) for white hair and Rise of P, but level 10 (1500) points for golden lie so it's harder if you don't pick the humane option at every opportunity
>>713489687No you don't, I got golden lie an I snitched. I also told manus the truth and Alidoro in the DLC that Krat is gonna be fucked and his efforts are pointless. It's only related to humanity, but you need to have max level for Golden Lie. Not sure if the point requirements are accurate anymore with the DLC out

Any lorefags know if Carlo's cause of death was revealed in the DLC? I vaguely recall reading a note about a close relative of Geppetto dying in a shipwreck, but I'm not sure if it makes sense that it would be him.
holy CINEMA that transition tho

>>713491108I think the only clues we got were Lea's message blaming Markiona? or just alchemists as a whole and the invitation to see the guardian for Carlo
I'm certain though neither him nor his mom died on the ship, that note says to publish this without redaction or showing it to (implied) Medoro, so to me it's clear this is an alchemist cover up story and not what actually happened. The ship also crashed just few days ago since Arlecchino goes to the zoo to kindap Romeo right after escaping. This means Lea wouldn't really have time to grieve over Carlo the way her messages imply and Romeo wouldn't even be aware that his friend is dead, something Lea's messages also contradict
>>713491824>It's revealed later it wasn't a lie if you want to count thatYeah but there's no what to know when saying that unless you're bringing meta data from NG+ so that one probably doesn't count

>>713492841Funny how I got better at avoiding it for every try then. And again, fight without lock on if absolutely you can't avoid it.
>>713491108I forgot to mention in last post and this is my interpretation of events, but Carlo was a Stalker. I assume that because of your natural combat skill, being capable of using Lea's fighting style with Monad sword and her calling herself your teacher and you her apprentice. Lumacchio also says Lea came to blows with Simon subfaction of the alchemists and a bounty was silently placed on her head. That, combined with her blaming Markiona (who works for Simon and supports his coup) tells me that either Carlo died investigating them causing Lea to confront them or the other way around - she confronted them and Carlo got killed as collateral or otherwise
>>713493058If you didn't update yet, pretty sure copying the files then replacing the new ones with old update ones still works to full steam as long as you don't verify files. If you did - look into downgrading with steam depot, but that's far bigger pain in the ass
>>713493712I also thought it was strange that Lea didn't immediately recognize P. Makes me wonder if Carlo and P look more different than we are lead to believe, or if it's just that Lea's perception is somehow impaired.
>>713495000I mean if you compare P to the real Carlo in the paintings he's in they do have a different face. Not to mention small details like P has freckles, blue eyes and much fluffier hair. I think Geppetto made P look different on purpose. because he never planned P to be the main body.

>>713498980Congrats! I fucking hated that guy.
Now that I've finally finished Lies of P base game and Overture for the first time, I think I can honestly say that I love it's narrative and it is probably the best attempt of all the "souls" games and their likes at it. It tells you just enough to give you a coherent story and without its side-quests being almost wiki-required missables; but is also vague enough about other information that it lets you form an idea in your own mind of what the city of Krat was really like and how things went down.
I also like how, despite bring presented straightforward and seriously, it's still pretty whimsical in a fun way. A lot is added if you're familiar with the story of Pinocchio, Lies of P is a pretty amusing take on it that weirdly actually worked out.
>>713475998It's made by Korean developers, not Californian trannies. It actually just works perfectly.

I wanna get this game. Should I buy the DLC before I play the game or am I safe to pick it up later? It doesn't integrate anything actually into the maingame does it? Or is it a case of Phantom Liberty style "you really have to replay the whole game with the package included"?
It's not a big deal if I have to get the DLC too (like forty quid for both from keysites I trust) to get both, just wondering if I can save some spondoolies for later down the road.

>>713504909Someday and Proposal, Flower, Wolf Part 1
>>713505015its a souls game, you progress the main game until you find the portal to go to the dlc zone, which is essentially its own map
Think of it as a big optional side area with bosses and loot, its not a seperate campaign
A patch also changed how early you can go in, it used to be chapter 9, now its chapter 5
The Croc was such a weird boss to me I was wondering if there was a second phase because it felt quite easy other than it's enormous damage.
Also I'll admit I'm not sure if you can parry the attack where it eats you I just dodge it
>>713505443All his attacks can be dodge by dodging left-forward except for maybe the grab which is just sideways
Parrying that fuck was not even remotely worth it
>>713476827thats not lummachio
>>713505328Would you reccommend getting it alongside the main game? Peeking about the thread and avoiding spoilers, it does seem to add stuff to the game before that point too.
>>713505015The DLC only changes a couple lines of dialogue in the base game. And it's tougher than base game so no real harm in picking it up later. On the other hand, some of the coolest weapons were in the DLC. And you'll access an extra layer of upgrades for P from playing the DLC. Also, you'll get more chances to increase your humanity for the end by playing the DLC. Would recommend buying it all at once.

>>713491718dont bother trying to parry, just dodge his attacks. you should have the dancing ones amulet equipped. when he starts charging you with his grab attack sprint in the other direction, you usually wont even have to dodge it if you have enough room. i used the bow but i was in melee range the whole time so anything could work ig
>>713505696design issue its just a shitty boss. parry cheesed him with the dragon sword and i dont feel even slightly bad about it :p
>>713505664Yes, itll be tough, but the rewards are worth it
It follows souls tradition of putting all the really fun toys in the dlc, so I'd say get it just for the cool weapons
if it gets too hard, remember you were inteded to start and finish it by chapter 9, so just go back and forth if you need to
You get some base game lore stuff if you beat it before chapter 10 too, but thats just lore bits
>>713505808Some of the records are kinda meh, but others just scratch that itch
This games presentation is fucking immaculate
>>713505887Yea gunblade is the shit. That dash follow-up to r2's and fatal attacks where he shoots behind is fun. I always go into combat with cataclysm charged and just blast my way around the battlefield.
>>713506157>putting all the really fun toys in the dlcthe dlc has the only good combineable weapons in the entire game imo, the kamehameha sword specifically is really kino. i hope they either drop the weapon combination mechanic in the sequel or let you dismantle boss weapons because the whole mechanic is made redundant by having the best weapons be excluded
>>713504909Quixotic for base game, Clear Blue Sky for DLC
>>713506371Yeah they really should drop it
Elden ring has the same issue but with ashes, being overly customizable is a detriment to the weapon because it kinda forces it to be boring and compatible with other shit, the unique weapons are the only cool ones desu

only arlecchino left now
>>713491108Officially he died of the Petrification Diseases but, like so many things in the game, that was probably just a cover-up. Rosaura's Treasure: Ruins Secret Gathering Invitation suggests he was lured to the Ruins by the Alchemists where the Guardian killed him. The Guardian's intro cutscene suggests something personal going on between them and he's the only boss aside from Arlecchino who has a unique fatal attack animation.

The difficulty curve is completely fucked if you play the DLC in the middle of the main game and many of the bosses of the main game late game that are fun and impressive will end up being too easy and no fun because you've already acclimatized to a far higher level of difficulty.
>>713511314Blocking yes, but I find dodging to be pretty unreliable with how a lot of attacks are angled

Arlechinno is possibly the most fun I've had with any boss in any game ever. Took me probably about 5 hours to beat him and at no point during those 5 hours did I get angry or feel like the boss was unfair bullshit. It probably helped that I deliberately didn't help Lea up to help me, so I couldn't really get mad when the game was offering me help that I wasn't taking. When I finally clutched out the win my heart was pound in my chest, I was breathing heavily and my hands were shaking to the point I could barely hold on to my controller, genuinely an all time memorable gaming experience, put any boss FromSoft ever made to shame.

>>713515476What would the scarecrow be like?
>>713515586Okay fag, go play your boring DS1.
>>713502626Rosaura was a doll built by Camille (Carlos's mom) to be a friend to Carlo.
>>713515626Some sort of vigilante bent on revenge. He was crucified and made to watch his farm burn as the crows pecked at him. Take story beats from the Crow and Ghost of Tsushima.
>>713504516> her wish it to watch the sunrise with carlo on last time.> this is exactly what happens at the end of the dlc. You are poofed away once its done.Shoulda wished for something better :/
>>713516078It better come with a flock of crows power from biocock infinite
>>713515476Dorothy

Sexy loli bitch

Do the math
Just one more run, get the last ending and records, and ill be free...
>>713512932>>713492624This is why I hate the puppet theme of LoP. Can't goon to joints.
I'm playing it for the first time right now and I'm having more fun with it than Elden Ring. What a fucking mistake it was to turn Dark Souls into generic open world fucking trash. The art direction, music, characters and NPC quests put From to fucking shame. As far as boss fights go there's some good fights and some shitty ones, but that's par for the course in the genre so whatever.
I might pick up Overture in the future. Are there any other games like Lies of P excluding shit from From that everyone already knows about?
>>713517807Did u beat all bosses on lvl 5?
>>713517807didn't you forget something?
>>713517178Tick-tock, tick-tock, Dorothy's on my cock!
>>713523726Put Markiona's on or I might suspect your sexuality
about dlc side quests, they dont trigger until alidoro decrypts them first
can the lighthouse secret be triggered before he decrypts it on ng+?
>>713524368I doubt it. I smashed the wall in the cave with my hammer before the clue was decrypted and didn't get through to the puppet.
>>713522423It's the steampunk aesthetic that does it for me. Probably why Bloodborne is my favorite souls game.
>>713525204block then attack
>>713522423>musicit's all really generic outside of the records
>>713475903 (OP)the main character looks like a cuck faggot
Yo is that a penis on that thing
>>713526275I did mean the records, the combat music does kinda blend into the background
>>713526750how do you get the cat ears?
Just got the bad ending for trophies, i get why that cunt wanted to silence the npcs at the hotel but why did carlo do it?
>>713528979he's just a puppet
>>713528979real ending is puppet body with a real heart
bad ending is real body with a puppet heart
>no short white hair mod
>hair customizer mod is borked

>>713510604>Smoother than Nioh 2No
>>713526450Look like a Mon Hun screenshot
>>713520364But that's the best part
>>713530308>no short white hair modBecause you don't need one.
Are you being purposefully retarded?
>>713533860could be! I never tried switching back to short hair the first time I played and I haven't gotten to that point again yet.
>>713516157Like, an audi?
