Anonymous No.713489486 [Report]

rear top sure, but if you put an exhaust on the top front of the case, you're just exhausting the air from your front fans before it gets you your components
Anonymous No.713489519 [Report] >>713489656
>>713489404
NTA but noctua has done testing, and having exhaust fans up top makes temps worse if you have front intake fans, because those fans exhaust the cold air coming into case instead of it reaching your cpu/gpu. Having one exhaust fan in the back and one in top rear, and front fan holes covered provided way better temperatures than 3 exhaust fans there. The only reason to have 3 fans there is if you have a radiator.
Anonymous No.713489656 [Report]
>>713489519
I imagine that would depend on how far the front fans are from where the exhaust fans start too and it there are others anywhere else in the case.

most cases with solid panels up front have a little gap between the panel and the case proper for bringing in air

its not ideal but people are fine with it for the aesthetic, or they dont know any better.

alternatively they could be bringing in air through fans on the bottom or something

Because PC building overall has also shifted into personalizing your build as a whole, that's why fishtanks, RGB and even having figurines inside your case became so popular, and it's such a tiny increase in price to add ARGB that it becomes worth it when you have the ability to set your lights however you want with programs like Signal RGB.

As long as you're purchasing a case with good airflow, just pick whatever you think is the coolest.

But the front panel and tinted window also give it just a little flair. Real easy to clean filter too. First time I've personally got a case that had filters. I'm sure a lot of cases have those now but it should be a standard for all. Before I had to open my PCs and use compressed air which only got like half the dust.

It helps clear obstructions from airflow, but you have so much empty space in modern fishtank cases that it indeed doesn't make much of a difference.

Back circa 2009 I actually managed to get people asking me to build PCs for them because they saw how my PC case was so organized that they couldn't even see any cables inside. I used an Antec P183, with a motherboard with 90 degree SATA ports so they all curved behind the tray into the lower chamber, plus I found a gap in the floppy compartment where you could route all the front panel cables so none of those could be seen either.
Wasn't as clean as modern ricer builds with all the sleeved cable shit, but it was insanely clean by 2000s standards.

Wouldn't mind so much if they weren't such a hassle to turn off and weren't forced onto majority of pc cases now.

BIOS setting? Doesn't exist. Every rgb light manufacturer has their own proprietary software to change the lights. Sometimes doesn't even save when computer resets. For some reason these programs need to install a hundred drivers and try to get you to install a "hub". Sometimes these software aren't linux compatible. No you can't just disconnect the pin for lights because it's merged with the fan. And minor complaint but since it's a program controlling the lights, it doesn't immediately activate until OS is booted up so you always get flashbanged with the brightest gay parade when turning on your PC.

The cheapest $30 MSI one. I remove the side panel and have my AC blow on it for better cooling in the summer.

4000d. I put my case beneath the table so I don't care much about how it look like. I just need it to cool off my CPU and GPU effectively.

>have to unwire everything and set it up in the new case
Sounds way too big of a hassle for me

Same. It was the cheapest full tower case I could find at the time so I went with it.

I just bought one of these literally yesterday, the 'pro' version, for a build im doing soon. The curved glass looks awesome
however I realized as I bought it, that the PSU i bought is apparently 20 mm too long for this case... Curious if it's going to just be a tight fit for the cables, or if it will physically be impossible to fit in the case at all (more likely i think).

Corsair 3500x. So easy with the sliding panels and cable tie holes

It's big, it's heavy, it's also one of the few cases that can handle 4+ HDDs and a 420mm cooler at the same time. It can also exclusively use 140mm fans which is nice. My only regret is not buying a e-atx mobo to go with it since there's a lot of dead space between the front panel and the motherboard.
