System Shock 2 Remastered?
Anonymous No.713486284 [Report] >>713486335 >>713486425
The most unnecessary remaster yet.

What did they even touch up?
I just finished my first playthrough about a month ago and it still looked and played great
Anonymous No.713486452 [Report] >>713486773
did they fix exotic weapons and the terrible last level

Models and textures that could have just been a mod
"Fixing" co-op despite co-op fundamentally being broken from respawn mechanics and I doubt it gets fixed
A bunch of shit for consolefaggots that, for some reason, want to play an imsim with a controller

That's it
The FPS / ultrawide already existed
If it had the VR support they teased and promised MAYBE It would be worthwhile but no. They want to flaunt their kex shit despite NewDark being perfectly fine

The original already has co-op. No idea how it works over the internet, but it works great over LAN.

is this any different from just following the newbie guide on the ss2 forums?

They probably went the brainlet way and just have it streamlined for zoomers that are afraid of port forwarding / just want a one-click button.

Not constant desyncs but they were common enough to be annoying. I think one level transition was broken and required me to take my save and my friend's save to progress. Text chat just never wanted to work. Some other quirk I can't remember.
It was playable.

Just on the surface from videos I watched, this doesn't look much better than just playing the PC version with all the basic upgrade mods.

I'll just wait for the updated models and textures to be backported as a mod.

One consistent way to completely break the game is to do multiple co-op runs. On the host machine it creates a new folder for each co-op session, if you have enough folders/saves the game just shits the bed and places the co-op players in the floor, deletes their inventory and freezes often. The solution is to delete those folders once a run is completed.

So many newfags ITT. Audio logs don't work in the OG version of coop. It's something that matters in a game with writing and voice acting as good as SS2 (unlike Bioshlock)

If that's fixed in this version (and I'll check on YouTube to see), that makes it the DEFINITIVE version and the version I'll play with my friend.

Worked for me amongst the bunch of problems I had.

Last time, fully patched version and everything over Hamachi, the text popped up but there was no VA to go with it. Maybe you're right and maybe I just didn't flip a switch or something bugged out, but I didn't hear a single one of my favorite audio logs in the first couple parts of the game, which killed the atmosphere for me and I quit playing it coop.

I funded for the SS1 remake on kikestarter so I'm getting the SS2 remaster for free

They're bad if they're unnecessary AND cost money, torrents aside.
