Two people from separate families dating and then marrying spend a good deal of money on stuff that people normally wouldn't give two shits about. A brother and sister fucking each other aren't exactly gonna go out and blow a ton of money on a limo for the prom. If even 1/5th of the population shifts their opinion on incest, then that could mean a spill-over effect on all the industries that live off of dating and marriage.
That, and given dating and marriage has declined over the last 20-30 years, incest would only make the situation worse. Why go through all the trouble of finding a date and worrying about getting ghosted or dumped or w/e when you can just knock on your sister's door? The modern generations are already socially maladjusted, they don't need more encouragement to isolate themselves in their homes and avoid strangers.

Yeah but having a bit of stress testing is also for the sake of their kids. That reminds me of Lover Able which I read recently, the only person who actually resisted the relationship was the dad, everyone else was just forced into accepting them by the brother and sister being completely unhinged and not caring what others think. The 10 years later scene at the very end was also extremely kino, the voice actress did a perfect job of voicing the same character but 10 years older and seeing them lovey dovey all the same was really nice.
