It's a very early unlock on your skill tree but you can't actually do it until you've unlocked the autumn village. Go to yachiyo's around 8pm and look for people eating there and talk to one of them, they'll ask if you want to join them for a meal. This is not the same as spending 60 minutes to "eat at yachiyo's". It costs no time and you can do it even if you've already hung out with them that day.

While Earth Drum is a nice AoE Fertilizer, the lack of Giantizer kinda sucks. Each crop has certain base odds at being giant the next morning if left at 1 day remaining. You only need 5 giant crops at least.

Enough that if something repeats, it's not glaring. Also people comment on main quest, have full schedules that change with expansion of the town and so on. That game is one of the best in the genre just by the sheer amount of content, post-game is kinda lacking with the lack of dungeons apart from arena-style combat challenges and only few minor questlines, yet I needed like 200 hours to finish MQ and something like a year and a half of ingame time. Still, most of the time in game is spent collecting resources, delving into ruins and resource processing takes massive amount of time.
And when you go for dates you can hold hands all the time while walking, which is very cute.
