It's a fuckin' Mario Kart game but with, what, 4x the drivers on the track.
Just pray they're not shooting anything in your direction, that's all you can do.
It's basically the "Mario Party" of Mario Karts, it's not up to you whether or not you win (unless you sandbag with items or something), it's about getting lucky and hoping nobody lands on the swap stars tile on turn 9/10 and swaps their 1 star with your 6.

Learn some alternate routes and use them to avoid the chaos of the main path, there's a lot more of them than you might think.

If you are not in the podium and are stuck dead center in the pack by the end of lap 1, it's over, take the L.
