Like most places with an obvious political bias, likes and dislikes of people here are mostly decided by what the other side dislikes or likes. Speedrunning has a leftard bias and trannies are often involved, so people hate it on principle. There's nothing more to it, you can ignore any posts after this one, because they will all be just seeking justification after the fact.

hundreds of /v/tards used to watch my speedrun streams over a decade ago, i think people just don't like the soulless, tranny infested garbage that speedrunning has become, but the basically 2nd biggest "group" in speedrunning as a whole was /v/ adjacent for years and a bunch of notable speedrunners of old were /v/ posters

I'm indifferent to speedrunners. They tend to be pretty autistic (Hyper focused on a singular video game) thus usually not very likable people.

I dislike speedruns that are just "skip 80% of the game". The 100% runs are usually just peak skill and I enjoy watching those.

at some point you just have to accept you got to experience everything out of a game and move on, seeing someone not getting that is just sad, like someone trying to push out the last drops of toothpaste instead of just getting a new tube already
