They blew their load too early with renoir. His fight at the monolith was beyond kino. Last fight was great, but the curator's design kinda sucks as final boss and it's basically just Renoir again.

Was there a fake Aline to go with the fake Dessendres in Lumiere? Is there anything about her in the game? Or if not, any story as to why they do not have a mother in the family?

I honestly think both Gustave and his sister were younger versions of Renoir and Aline. The sister even wears the same dress Aline's wearing at the end of the game and then strangely enough Gustave and his family are the ones who took Maelle in when her parents died.

Real Renoir caused the Fracture while trying to get Aline out the canvas, which led to them trapping one another in a stalemate, Aline at the top of the Monolith and Renoir below it.
So, as soon as the Fracture happened Aline became the Paintress as the people of the painted Lumière know her, then during expedition 0 her painted family managed to reunite with her.
