replaying picrel for the first time in 15 years. Its pretty fun.

Bought everspace a few days ago since it was cheap.
While it doesn't look quite as nice a it's a switch 1 game it runs and plays well. Hopefully they do a switch 2 graphics update or better yet release everspace 2 on it.

Finally got my Switch 2 yesterday. Played Mario Kart World and it looks absolutely stunning. I just ride around the world and enjoy the views. I wish screenshots weren't compressed to 1080p, they fail to capture all the beauty.

Also tried TOTK Switch 2 version and Cyberpunk, never played it before.

Fantasu Life SW2 version. It alright, for a singleplayer MMO.

I've been getting into Splatoon 3 lately. It's my first Splatoon game. I haven't really touched multiplayer much yet and have been focusing on the single player campaign. Gyro feels really good and I have 100% been converted to the gyro aim cause.

Splatoon 3 on Switch 2 feels incredible, so smooth and the image is so clean, I stopped playing a long time ago but I'm getting back into it thanks to the update, I should get the new pro controller tho, even using dual joycon feels better thanks to the improved gyro compared to the old Pro but I used to like playing with joycons and only moving the right hand.

Finally got around to playing TOTK, loving it so far. But it feels a bit heavier than the og switch, and the battery life seems shorter. I usually play it docked on my PC monitor, but when I had to go to urgent care I thought I may as well see how handheld holds up.

There's a big design flaw with it, the system will detach from the joycon if you hold it with one hand for even a second. They're claiming that will "adjust the tolerance" but there's more to it than that, it needs a redesign. Maybe it's fine, but I expect a lot more out of a $60+ case.

Basically there's a small gap at the top between the joycon and the screen, this is to make it easier to detach from the console, the dbrand grip eliminates that gap and has caused issues for people.

You can check out what they have to say on the dbrand reddit, I'm just to weary of them and how they handle most new product launches. They always try to sweep shit under the rug with some epic "Wendy's-tier" tweet, but they just sell garbage. No problem. It looks like it could be a good product some day, I'm in the market for something like it but the only other similar one I've seen is the Genki Attack Vector and that thing as a ton of problems, apparently. Same thing with the joycons detaching, dock issues, etc.

I'm waiting for more to come out, I do really think there's a lot of value in grips for the thing, the joycons are just too flat to be comfortable. So you could get one of those grips and a larger sleeve case, if you need something now. Satisfye has a grip and a case combo but it's very expensive for what it is, much like dbrand, but I don't anticipate any major issues with it.

You really should get in the habit of putting screen protectors on portable devices before using them, screen repairs are always way more costly than just buying a protector. Plus, your screen will look perfect when you go to sell the thing in the future.

I don't think, at least not with the Switch. That may be a factor on something like RPCS3 but even then I know a lot of the 12th gen chips were pretty desirable for that, even over AMD.

Yeah but there are new forks of Yuzu and Ryujinx, they're still being developed. I've had better luck with Ryujinx and Mario Wonder, but some games work better under Yuzu.

Playing on the Switch 1 with games like Assassins Creed 3, Doom and other games while switching back to Switch 2 to play things like Mario Kart World and Cyberpunk 2077 is the most comfy dual wielding experience I've ever had. People forget that you can link your old switch with the switch 2 and have both consoles as their own dedicated genre machines. It's even better when you realize that doubles the space and essentially lets you have a the Switch 2 for dedicated games that are either upgraded or exclusive to that model. Amazon is pissing me off with Rune factory collectors edition at the moment since they don't know where the fuck my package is even though it says it's arriving tomorrow. At least the Hatsune Migu DLC for Rift of the Necrodancer comes out tomorrow and I don't have to hop on fortnite for that one migu song.

emulators just feel stupid today. we're basically emulating the same platform we're on (yeah, arm is as bloated as x86) with the added bloat of an entire custom operating system when the code of the game would probably run natively.

I already played it earlier this year so no

Was out shopping today and the store I was at had the DK Bananza demo.

It was pretty fun. Controls were just as if not more snappy than Mario Odyssey, and it was a lot of fun to just move around and break shit. I wasn’t able to play it on a TV because they only had a handheld demo station, but it looked great at 1080p.

One thing I am a little concerned about is how quickly the transformations charge up. I’m not sure if it was just for the demo, but every time I transformed, I was able to collect more than enough gold to immediately recharge the meter and go right back to it. Felt way too overpowered.

That being said, there is a cute detail of Pauline singing whenever you go Bananza (you can hear the song in the direct).

Absolutely. One of the coolest things about the game, besides the movement, was the UI. Everything is incredibly punchy, even when just walking around in the game. I wasn’t too impressed with Odyssey’s UI, so this was a massive improvement for me.

Bananza aside, after playing the demo for Ratatan, I really want to play Patapon, so I can truly understand what made the latter work and the former difficult. Ratatan isn't bad, but the camera is too far away from the action, so I easily lose track of what's going on. Despite how good the backgrounds are, they make Ratatan more of a chore to play.

Pick up Sword/Shield if you haven’t. I find it to be the best modern pokemans especially if you get the DLC. Dynamax Adventures(Which is a rougelike side mode) is very fun. And you can hunt legendary shiny pokemon ;)
