I've been using the same wired keyboard and mouse for gaming for about 10 years, I think it's time for an upgrade (possibly to wireless?). Any recommendations? Pic related is the keyboard I'm using.

Why would you upgrade if it already works?

The D key stops working half the time and half of the LEDs on it don't work. Plus it's heavy, and I want to try wireless to free up some USB slots on my PC.

The exact reasoning I have for still using my 1080p 60Hz monitor I've owned for 10 years now, if it's not broken I just don't see the point in throwing it away

This isn't really how keyboards work, its not like a mouse where they can make a significantly superior sensor. We figured out Mechanical Keyboards like 45 years ago, besides doing something differently (layout, keyswitch, rgb, etc) there actually isn't really much room for improvement anymore in regards to performance.
I've had the same keyboard for around 11 - 12 years and I'll probably use it until it breaks.

What do you mean by this? Even a wireless mechanical keyboard takes up a USB slot with its dongle.

I bought an IBM model model M 1391401 (1991) and holy fuck it's worth. Got it for 150 bucks, but you need a good adapter for it.

I always wanted an old Model M like I used in primary school but they're so old now its hard to get one that isn't overpriced and full of broken rivets because they're all falling apart.
I might get one of those Unicomp Buckling Spring's keyboards that are basically a modern recreation of the Model M.

This is what I'm using, HyperX Alloy Core RGB. I bought it on sale without caring much about the RGB but it feels pretty good to the touch, it was relatively cheap and most importantly, it's a 100% keyboard. The RGB is non-addressable, but you can change it to different patterns or to stay in solid colors.

The Model M I got was refurbished and the only problem was the PS/2 to USB adapter. If I mash several keys at once, it can fuck up.
It "stuck" with keys like thiiiiiiiiiiiiis due to hardware differences over the decades. You should prolly get a Unicomp because I spent a good hour of research on a dead forum (2011) just to find the right adapter with 1 in stock. It was called Blue Cube or whatever.
