I just watched the entire presentation at Summer Game Fest and I just gotta ask, who in the world is the audience for the majority of games now? I didn't feel even a hint of excitement for anything but some small indie game, and even then, theres the thought that it will be loaded with propaganda and social messaging so even for that small game I could only be so hype.

Who is spending 80 bucks on asset flips and sequels that are up to their 9th and 10th entries? Are people actually willing to buy these overpriced games with chunks cut out for dlc and paid online, not to mention supporting developers that hate the majority of what would be their audience.

Thankfully I did, really, its just the recent switch 2 madness and stumbling on that game show that had me really wondering all this. I mostly stick to /vr/ and /out/ related hobbies now with some traditional art and more recently learning to cast silver for men's jewlery based off things I think are cool. Mix all that with Church related stuff and I just dont play games that much anymore, but its weird to think so many people are paying top dollar to be absolutely screwed...
