It's simply that the novelty isn't there any more. Giving a cinematic feel to games is basically the default for every AAA game at this point. Experimenting with game mechanics in creative ways is done by every decent indie game. The only thing he offers now is making Hollywood actors do and say a bunch of nonsense for our viewing pleasure.

up to Snake Eater everything was fine, something then happened for The Cut-scenes of Ze Patriots as someone that wasn't him left the building.

Phantom Pain was a fucking chore, Peacewalker was definitely better than it, yet both games were unfinished, so when everyone left the building he was alone and fucking turned Metal Gear into Listen and Watch Them Gear. They never delivered the full product cause this hack was fired.

He then created a walking simulator with less content than Phantom Pain, not happy he started to hire literal whos from Hollywood, he has now made a sequel of that shitty walking sim and hired even more celebrities for the sake of it.

Worst shooter looter of all time, that's what MgsV, Death stranding and its sequels are.

When? even penguin adventure has more complex mechanics than antartic adventure.
MG2 is basically a 2D metal gear solid in terms of features.
Other than snatcher, he never did a game that was "mechanically dumb and just a movie".
