In small skirmishes, the Alien would win as long as we assume it's one of the intelligent variants that'll learn it needs to aim for the limbs to kill. Acid blood works greatly in it's favor and most necromorphs capacity for damage mostly falls apart when they're facing things that aren't squishy humans.
If it's a bigger outpost of dead humans and if it has enough mass to generate the stronger necromorphs and start laying flesh everywhere, then it's over and there's no way the aliens can win, I cannot feasibly see aliens being able to take out certain necromorphs.
I'm assuming that the alien flesh mostly can't be reclaimed and used by the marker, if it can and we assume it has a way of using it despite the acid then it's even more over.

It comes down to what kinds of necromorphs do they have at their disposal. If it's just slashers and the common variants, then xenomorphs sweep.
If you give necros infectors, then it starts to favor the necros since every xeno that falls boosts the necros numbers.
If you give the necros the unique monsters like the leviathan and the hivemind, then xenos don't stand a chance.

I don't see how that would work.
You can't knock a Necomorph out so a facehugger wouldn't be able to knock a Necromorph out and impregnate it.
And even if it somehow did the Necomorph DNA would corrupt what ever embryo it placed in the Necomorph.
Plus don't Xenomorphs need living hosts to impregnate? Necromorphs aren't living.

There's no 1 vs 1 where the Xenomorph doesn't win.
There's no faction vs faction where the Necromorph doesn't win.

A Necromorph can use Xenomorph flesh just fine as more ammunition.
The reverse is not true, facehugger eggs are just going to get immediately ripped apart and used for their cells. Their nests are a goldmine. Everything about them, apart from their probable inability to build Markers, is exactly what Necromorphs want.

So all standard necros eventually harden and evolve into regenerator necros, the boss mob you see that cannot be killed and was only stopped by a straight up pure minute of rocket exhaust fire. Canonically this happens in less than a few hours, which is why throughout the game, the necros always start getting darker and darker instead of being fleshy.
People don't realize that necromorphs are stupidly overpowered. Literally "nuh uh i have invisible armor that stops bullets" levels of bullshit.

If anything it's the opposite. Xenomorphs are pretty hard capped at what flesh the egg gestated in.
Necromorphs just don't stop combining and getting tougher. The giant skyscraper city-fuckers are still necromorphs. Even on a singular level they just keep getting tougher and tougher with enhanced variants. And it doesn't matter if you kill them, that's still good cells they're just going to shove into something else.

Necromorphs have variations based off
1. Genetics
2. Environment
3. Resources available

It's probably the most absurd variance found in any game.
Missing limbs? end up as this necromorph.
Genetic disposition to acid reflux? end up as this necromorph.

>one queen would wipe out 500 necros
lol nah not even close.
the end goal of all Necromorphs is to create more biological mass. That's it.
Every dead necromorph is that much more mass to the eventual conversion.
No scenario where Xenomorphs beat out Necromorphs.

Being able to operate basic tools isn't identifying the random rock as important, there's no direct interaction between the necros and marker, even when it's time to Become Moon necro matter just starts floating into the sky. And if they are that smart then they're double fucked because that's what the marker preys on.

And even if they do destroy the marker, it doesn't help them, necromorphs operate fine independently.

Your computer can't power itself it needs a source and we know how they work. Markers on the other hand are described as containing near infinite energy and control flesh in ways we can't comprehend and yet they also teach us how to build functional red markers while still not knowing what we're doing.
If we can build them we should be able to understand how they work but there is no explanation. Marker energy told them to build something they can't possibly understand and they did the absolute mad lads. It's magic.

Not really. The thing people need to realise about Necromorphs is that they are basically flesh robots.
They aren't really a species in the common sense.
The Marker just puppets the dead around to kill others and create more bio mass to create Brethren Moons.
they don't need to sleep eat they just kill and grow in mass. as long as the Marker keeps working nothing dead will rest.

>It comes down to how OP the xenos are on a cellular level i,e, the thing vs the blob
Not really either. It operates on a cellular level but it can't invent joints and tendons and mechanical motion out of nowhere, it needs enough mass to combine it into that tissue. It can use basically anything but it still needs to be in that shape. Like the Thing Blood Test wouldn't work on necromorphs.
But at the same time, that's all that really matters, organic mass is just organic mass to them, they're functionally dead. Eject into space, starve them, they don't care, they don't breathe or sleep or eat. Marker gives them all the energy they could ever want.

The Blob might actually win over a necromorph invasion, because the bare minimum the necromorphs need is for something to be dead and punching the Blob isn't going to do much, and it's also not sentient enough to psychically control.
Thing would probably get Marker'd, it's too smart.

i think the thing wins that battle. we get to see that even threatening its blood causes an explosive and instantaneous reaction. we see that dismembering any part of just makes the individual parts skitter off as new organisms instead of killing it. necromorphs are happy to just lay dead on the ground after being laser'd and seem to need a third party specialist necromorphs to convert them from their dead/biomass state into something functional.

No
The flood can't infest xenomorphs, the acid blood hard stops infection.
The flood MIGHT be able to use dead xenomorphs for biomass, once sufficiently exanguinated, but this leaves the Flood in the situation where they have to use purestrains, which means they can't both fight and form gravemminds. Same exact issue the Flood runs into vs Tyranids, except even worse, because this isn't a round 2 adaptation, this is just what Xenomorphs do.
If the Flood are already fully established, fine, they fuck reality and everyone dies.

Flood vs Necromorphs is a lot harder. At a baseline, both are kinda fucked at the start, since both need a kick start of biomass to get rolling, that the other isn't providing. If we assume this starts with the unluckiest motherfuckers in the universe ever opening two vaults, one full of both, Necromorphs have the speed advantage, and are more resourceful, but Flood can commandeer any weapons or technology around them, which kicks the deciding factor to "how advanced are the unlucky motherfuckers"
And again, if both start super established, the Flood probably win, Keyminds are fucked up

He's not immune, DS1 and most of 2 are him getting lead around by the nose by the Marker. He was a key part in remaking the marker in 2. It's like the final 30 seconds of DS2 where he manages to fight back.

Idk, we see in stuff like the intro to Extraction and the beginning of DS2 that while the marker can mindfuck you, it can't literally puppet you, it relies on you either not knowing or not fighting its influence.

But he's definitely not remotely immune, spent years in a psycho haze building markers out of poptart packets. If anything he's more susceptible because the Marker decided he was useful. Probably the only reason he got off the planet in 1 was because the Marker decided he was the best chance at getting another one built, outside of the final fight in DS2 we really don't know how much of Isaac's actions are really his own.

Xenomorphs are massively overhyped by edgy 90's comic books and fanboys. They were always dangerous only in the same way any intelligent predator like a Tiger or Wolf is. They fucking die to 9mm pistol rounds for chrissakes, their acid blood is only a threat in the specific situations the first movie where it could depressurize the ship. Their reproduction ability is among the most inefficient created in nature, requiring them to capture people alive to create even a single infant xenomorph. The Xenomorphs literally cannot even kill their opponents without killing their own ability to replenish their numbers. Even when the Marines in Aliens blew themselves and all their ammo up, they still slaughtered them by the bushel, and were only ever in danger because of a lack of ammo, not believing the aliens were real until they were attacked, and the aliens having a colony of unarmed colonists to have previously capture.

Yeah I know, but honestly deadspace was fucked in 3 anyways.
2 is peak in all ways and she was super cute in that game.

How would either the Xenomorphs of Necromorphs fare against 'The Beast' from Homeworld: Cataclysm? Would both of them literally be powerless against the Infection Beam?

Nothing that a traditional Xeno does to kill its victims would work on a Necromorph, which are just crude puppets being dragged to-and-fro by the Marker.on the other hand though, Necros probably can't make new Necromorphs out of dead Xenos since they're completely synthetic.

Xenomorphs aren't flesh - they're some weird synthetic bioweapon that's pseudo-organic at most. They still lose to Necromorphs for obvious reasons, but the Marker signal probably wouldn't find anything suitable to reanimate.

Infectors spread it faster and can do it beyond the immediate vicinity of a Marker. Markers can rez flesh as Necros, but it takes too much time comparatively to make it a viable method of starting Convergence.

Markers are massive even compared to Queen Mothers and can casually shrug off having tectonic plates dropped on them. No xenomorph is destroying one.

That explicitly just broke off a piece, which was still fully capable of functioning and emitting the Marker signal.

Necromorphs are completely dead. The "virus" is just the Marker Signal controlling them - the flesh is being directed by that same infinite energy signal. For all intents and purposes, Necromorphs are closer to autonomous weapons platforms than organisms.

The Moons make repeated allusions to not being "whole" despite each having attained total Convergence as a result of their mere existence. So that implies that they're just a penultimate rung in the Necromorphy cycle and there's something that comes after them. Presumably once they've attained a point of completely unprecedented growth and/or have consumed enough worlds.

there wasn't a greater threat. humanity lost to the moons. dead space 4 was pitched to be some stray person in remote regions of space trying to survive by scavenging derelict ships filled with necromorphs in a truly dead space™

The directors alluded to a threat that given the choice would make humanity being absorbed in convergence a better fate as they put it

Xenomorphs can beat a necro 8 out of 10 times 1 on 1
But a necro morph infestation would trump and is worse than a xenomorph one.

If Necromorphs are so strong and deadly, then how come one guy was able to beat them and escape? Explain this to me, necrofags.

Metroid Dread kinda nerfed them with the implication that you can overpower the infection and become one with the X rather than getting assimilated

Why is nintendo creatures allways the most dangerous ones? Kirby could literally eat everything from fiction, the x parasite can infect everything from fiction, mario can infect everyones mind at young ages too, its really crazy when you think about it.
