And even then, it's not a great survival horror. Contact combat means you can't really juke, enemy patterns and event triggers require borderline writing them down cause there's too fucking many (triple that for the sequel), levels are flat corridors and at the end of the day it's still an RPGmaker game, it's just a surprisingly functional attempt at survival horror.
So play all the classic REs and SHs first and if you fucking love it and are willing to put up with jank, you'll like Funger.
