Those games are all just a tower defense and rts hybrids and have been made for smartphones, and Flash before it, for ages.
It's a massive red ocean and making money on them is a gamble.
Kingshot, as far as I'm concerned, just has tons of ads and for financial success in this particular niche marketing is far more important than the actual game.

So... why don't you copy them then? If it's so easy to do then stop being lazy and make that easy money. Transfer all that money earned to make your passion project game instead.
