I don't understand how V's multiplayer made so much money. It's literally the worst version of an MMO I've ever played. It's so blatantly greedy that I'm convinced it's mostly just knuckle dragging negros and stoned normies that actually play this shit. I bought it for $5 and I still feel like I got ripped off.

The worst thing about it is that it overemphasized melodrama over gameplay which is exactly what Saint's Row capitalized on and built a fairly successful franchise out of. GTA V kind of followed the same route but quickly turned to soulless monetization as a third option, however GTA IV is probably not overrated anywhere but here where contrarians run rampant.

Wrong thread for this but in my opinion, in the same way Witcher 3 was just Skyrim but "better" (more combat gameplay mechanics, more sidequests, tons of collectathon bullshit, kinda forced "player-character exists in the narrative this way" railroading, all things that make it more gamey), Cyberpunk is the same thing for Fallout 4. For all the promised revolutionary design, it really just felt like an amalgamation of other successful games rather than an original thing.

I hate the ragdolling in GTA4. Everyone praises it, but it's way too slow. Whenever you ragdoll, it feels like you on an lunar ice skating rink. Gravity and friction are both less than half what they should have been.

NGL, I've never made it through a couple hours of this one. Driving is so fucking dogshit, I can't stand playing it.
IIRC it used to have some kind of major problem with its optimization/resource usage that you needed some kind of fuckery to work out too, at least on PC. Can't imagine that's much of a problem nowadays though.

Not overrated, just different.
Pretty sure it's the first kinda down-to-earth game since gta3
No miniguns, no jetpacks, no flamethrowers etc.
Also despite so many new ideas, there's a genuine lot missing compared to SA that came before.
Nothing to spend money on, no houses to buy, no cars to own etc.

Most overrated GTA is unironically Vice City. Yea it has good voice acting, radio but missions suck ass. Vice City looks terrible too.
IV is a great game, better than V for sure. Not quite San Andreas level tho.

The one thing I don't understand about IV is why it forces me to empathize with characters I don't care about. I didn't care about Packie and his stupid inbred potato eating family.
