>>713611765 (OP)No because the game, narratively, is a fucking mess and the core gameplay although fine lacks a decent playground and level design to make it interesting.
The best missions in Phantom Pain are the Prologue, the one where you rescue Kaz, the one where you get the rocket launcher thing, the first mission in Africa, the mission where you run in to the burning man at the parasite factory, the Code talker rescue, and the mission where you kill all your guys at motherbase. Everything else feels poorly thrown together, particularly the filler missions. If these missions were tied together as a proper progression rather than expecting you to grind in between the more meaty missions, it would be a great game, but every other mission is just meh. Even the big confrontation with Skull Face feels like they stopped making it halfway through, and the mech boss fight after it is WOAT boss design.
Phantom Pain has like 10 hours worth of decent level design and narrative but for every hour you engage in that you're expected to play 10 hours additional of grindy "immersive sim" shit that just doesn't suit the world.
