Can't you just drop some .dlls into the game folder? Thats what I've been doing since switching off win 7

Doesn't wine moving to wow64 fix the 32 bit support issue?

Isn't Linux open source? Can't somebody just make a fork that mantains 32 bit support?

Well, the same is true for downloading a bundle of shared object files and adding them to dynamic linking path.

>>713620176
Well, yes, but then it's not Fedora, and the news item is about Fedora considering dropping 32-bit support. Realistically distrohopping isn't much trouble, but if they do decide to go through, it'd be a bit of a bummer for a distro (and its forks like Bazzite) that has recently gained reputation for being "good for gaming".

It's not games that are the problem it's just a bunch of Linux software that will get updated eventually. Bazzite fags are just annoyed it'll break their toy distro and that's the extent of the "issue".
If you're on a normal distro like Fedora or Arch or whatever this doesn't concern you. At worst you'll have to rebuild your prefixes when they update wine to the wow64 build.

Just move on to 64 bits, lazy devs.

This is basically what the fedora devs would tell you. I switched to mint after fedora tried to force me to beta test jeetland and it has been a significantly better experience

Can't believe 32-bit applications are still kicking around. It's been like 20 years.

For Windows games this means nothing since Wine now has wow64, so 32-bit support is now implemented on Wine level.
It will break some old native 32-bit only Linux games but many of those are already broken unless you supply them with missing libraries anyway.
The only real issue is Steam, but I'm sure Valve has been preparing for this and will move onto 64-bit in due time. Also Fedora is Fedora, but I don't see gaming-oriented distros, and those that are often used for gaming like Arch, just pulling the rug under Valve's feet.

linux has always been total dogshit. let's be realistic here, windows is just a thing we use to game with, that's all. no one fucking cares about which os they're using, it just needs to work a not be a complete fucking cunt to work with. and windows ALWAYS ages well, and you know it! windows is like a fine wine that sucks ass in the beginning but really starts to mellow out into something good about five-six years later..

That's just the standard troonix experience. Games and all the programs included rot because dependencies get updated constantly and you can only have a single version at a time.
>won't run
>won't work
It's troonix, what did you expect? Only pajeets that live in little huts use it as a desktop. If hobbyist trannies couldn't make a functional desktop os after 30+ years, they never will.

Recompile? Are these people calling themselves developers if they can't figure out how to make their toolchain spit out 64-bit binaries instead of 32-bit ones?
