Well, I thought maybe 30-60. But if you think about it, that would mean adulthood was only 10 years (20-30). So I think adulthood being 20-40. Middleage being 40-70. Makes a little more sense.

Average life expectancy is around 80-ish. So it makes sense for 40 to be middleage.

Now take women out of the equation as I doubt you're women. Life expectancy then drops to 73. Now what do you think happens when you take out the handful of people skewing the average by living to 100 then add in things that will likely affect your life expectancy, such as HIV, diabetes and obesity which if you're browsing /v/ you probably already have.
