That was when I was smacked in the head with how fucking lame and shit motion controls were and how gimmicks were not an enjoyable way for me to play games. The 3DS had some good games on it, but I was starting to get tired of handheld games. I'm still fond of the N64 and Gamecube (and a little bit of the NES and SNES too), but I just don't care to own any of their consoles or games these days.
But it's also hard to say I grew out of it entirely. I still emulate their games, even the new Switch stuff. I've admittedly enjoyed multiple Switch games. As for their hardware though, I don't feel the need to ever get it. But I also feel the same with other consoles too, they're just not important to me or worthwhile anymore.
